It’s been a while since I’ve been eyeing up the brooches on Fable England and I finally bit the bullet and bought both the enamel red squirrel and rabbit brooches. Thankfully, despite its name, Fable England is a Barcelona based company so there were no extra Brexit fees to pay to get them delivered here to Belgium.
And while I do like Fable England’s jewellery too as they generally offer both a necklace and earrings in matching sets to the brooches, I stuck with the brooches in the end because they were bigger and more eye-catching than their daintier counterparts.
Perfect for autumn, this little enamel red squirrel matches another one of my most recent purchases; a watch from Victoria Hyde London featuring a squirrel in the exact same pose on the watch face with little floating crystals. An Olivia Burton “snow globe” inspired design if ever I saw one!
The bunny brooch on the other hand is going to be perfect for spring! Plus, I just found a garden-patterned shirt it was made for - even if said shirt is a man’s shirt and has the buttons on the wrong side. But with all my bunny watches from Olivia Burton, it was a must! Now I just need to take the plunge and get their hare brooch too! #hearteyes #wishlist
At €30 a pin I expect quality, and you certainly get it with these purchases. Not only is the packaging exquisite, but the pins are sturdy and managed to go through thick fabric with no problems. Do be warned though, make your purchases directly from their website as after first coming across the brand on Zalando (a general web shop encompassing many brands), I realised Fable England’s prices were actually cheapest on their own website which is not always the case.
There you have it my personal introduction to Fable England, not bad!!! Will definitely be purchasing from them again!
Have you tried Fable England pieces? What do you think of their very whimsical aesthetic?
Are you all for brooches coming back in style? Or are jewellery and bags more your thing?
I would totally be up for them branching out into watches since Olivia Burton seems to have now veered off their innovative cute animal designs…sad times
