The basket bag has been EVERYWHERE for the last couple of summers now, and I thought I’d finally share the one I picked up with you. I got this one from Mango I want to say end of spring 2018, but as this is such a popular and reoccurring trend, they’re an easy find.

Fun Fact: I’ve woven a basket before. When I was a kid, I would go to a summer day camp, which always had lots of fun activities one of which was basket making (for the older kids). Now while I never developed the skill enough to ever make a bag (baskets were complicated enough thank you very much!), I did come to appreciate the work/craftsmanship behind these items.
This particular basket bag also incorporates a bit of that see-through handbag trend by not having the lining on one side of the bag that has the fancy lattice weave. But don’t worry, if like me you’re not a fan of advertising the contents of your handbag to every potential thief out there, then you can just flip it over and have the more see-through portion against your body instead, problem solved.
On my nails I’m wearing OPI’s You’re Such A Budapest which depending on the light can look lilac or periwinkle (you can also see it on my nails in my Spring Floral Earrings post). It’s a unique colour in my collection and one I wish I could buy in Belgium in their Infinite Shine formula as the polishes I’ve tried from that range don’t seem to chip as fast on me as their regular formula does.
